Change your own oil ?
I've always been a "do it yourself-er" when it comes to oil/filter changes. I used to do my VR4 and my NSX.
I haven't had the opportunity to look under the car yet........does anyone know the location of the filter and the ease of getting to it ?
I have ramps, a pro floor jack and stands. Not to mention filter wrenches, used oil dispensers, etc.
Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks !

I think the car is too new and nobodys acutally changed their own oil yet. Remember you get a couple free oilchanges/services when you purchased the car new. I think most of us have just got their 2nd free service recently. If nobody replies, maybe you can get an oil change and watch what the tech does, that is if they allow you in there when they're working on your car.

Nor have I changed the oil on my SC430, but I gave it a try once or twice on my SC400, and the hardest part is getting the car up off of the floor enough to get under there and take off the large plastic piece that prevents easy access to the filter and drain plug. After that, you have to get at the filter, get a wrench of some type on it, and torque it enough to get it unscrewed.
For all the time and trouble involved, I soon gladly paid others to do this for me.
Given the low clearance, you will probably need jack stands or ramps to give you some room to work.
Good luck, and let us know what is involved.
