i'm not so sure tires will be any cheaper for 19s. i remember reading they're actually more expensive. but i haven't priced out 19s, so i can't say for sure. personally, i went from runflats to 20s and the ride was greatly improved. 19s are probably a little smoother. but 20s aren't harsh at all.
Liquid is absolutely correct. If you go an inch either way (18's or 20's) eveything is alot cheaper. Simple supply and demand equation. Lot more demand for 20's, so more offerings in wheels, so more tires available in that size, too. 19" is a factory Porsche size which tells you all you need to know...LOL $$$$
