Default Need instructions on how to install front park light!

My brake light was out, but the toyota guy was cool and did it for me. It was going to take them a while and cost me a lot to have them replace the parking light. So, I bought the bulb for the front parking light and want to install it, anyone have instructions on how to get in there before i attempt it? Thanks!

im pretty sure you should easily be able to access it from the wheel well.

turn the wheel all the way to inside, then pull back the wheel well cover and you will have access to the bulbs

am very sorry to say thats not true at all!!!!

I traid that one time and endup with a two scrached hands + unstable well cover + wasted more that 40 min

my advice is either you let the dealer do it or you must take the head light out to get better access to reach the small parking light.

you can refer to this to help you :-

The small bulb on the lateral/outside corner of the front headlights?

I did it once.

Took me two hours.

I'll never do it again alone.

Best to find someone that's done it before, and do it together. A helping hand does wonders...

It's the bulb inside the headlight, little gold one that shines when you put just the interior lights on. But 2 hours!!! crap i'll just spend the $30

Anything to do with the headlight is tedious.

You need to remove the grill, front bumber, underbody bumper lining, inner fender lining, and then the whole headlight housing -- all to get to that one single bulb.

^^^^ + 1 to all the above posts. I can only reach the DRL's and front headlights on the 2002-2005 headlights. Cannot get to the 168 bulbs on the side that Texas83 is talking about or the fogs for that matter.

Sewell offered to do them for me one time when they had the car up on the lift and my wheels off doing my brake pads-but I bought the wrong bulbs! For $60 (I believe that's 1/2 an hour of their labor) they would have installed my H3 foglights and the parking light bulbs in HID-like or LED replacements but the vendor shipped the wrong ones and I had to have the brakes done so I didn't get to do it. Next time I need a tire rotation or any whee/tire work, they just access them through the wheel well. Crazy, but it's true. The only way to do it would be either bumper or wheel well. I've asked/tried many times. Just did today, in fact, trying to do my DRL's-and no way in hell you are getting to those bulbs.

If you can get them done for $30, I'd consider it a deal considering two hours and two people are needed. It took me about an hour today to get to my PS side DRL. Broke one clip and scratched the hell out of my hand. Good stuff!!!
