...I replaced all of mine myself...including the 8in out back.I put Boston Acoustic 6x9's in the doors and 4.5(if I remember corrctly) also B.A. in the rear....and it sounds great !!! The speakers are indeed 4ohms,but instead of overloading the amp(s)...it actually plays louder.Therefore you can turn down the radio,using less power to the speakers..... ed
Actually, if you left it at the same power level when you converted over to the 4 ohm speakers, you'd be using twice the power because your current would have doubled. (W=VxI, where I=V/R) So by turning down the volume to about half the original level, you may be down to the same power used as before.
...lol...yea thats what I meant;but said it sort of backwards...but I'm very pleased with the outcome & thinking more of just adding the amp to the woofer.....ed
