2007 Lexus SC430 GPS/NAV Override
I've searched everywhere for a way to override the GPS/Nav in my 2007 SC430 by accessing the hidden service menu and have had no luck. Can anyone help? Thanks.

I think that the backdoor path disappeared after version 5 or 6.

beomaster-do a search for VAIS or nav bypass and you will see a ton of information that can allow you to automatically accept the first screen (if this is what you are talking about) on your nav system. I have a 2005 which is the same nav system as yours and installed the SL2I-UP Vais I-Pod system and it works like a charm! Great to have Ipod tunes in your SC as well! Win-win.

Wow! Crazy!!!! I could see setting up a website to protest to Toyota to get SC'ers new floor mats with the recall, but this might be a little pipe dream to get them to fix this...after all they probably legally have to do it...all cars have it. My 2003 FX35 had it, now my 2009 FX has it. My GM company car has it, etc etc.
The Vais is great for this--I do agree. Like I orginally said, for me I feel like I got a $1,000 upgrade for $600 (I know I overpaid for my installation at stealership)!!!! The ipod connectivity is great, but definitely not worth $600.

So will the VAIS override of "I agree" (that scdroptop explained in a separate thread) work no matter what Nav version you have? It's a completely different problem than this "backdoor" override that people are upset about?

Yes. It took two months for me not to press the screen just by ingrained reflex.
