And if he hadn't let the cat out of the bag, we won't have known any different. We all would have said nice looking calipers. And they are. Whether they are real or not so real.

Prototypes on the Way....
Today I visited Marshall Genuine Products in Chula Vista, Ca. http://www.calipercovers.com/ where they took my project 2002 SC 430 into their shop for a fitment for custom caliper covers. This was the first Lexus vehicle they had their hands on so I spent nearly three hours with them taking measurements and watching them fabricate some prototypes on spot. With the prototypes mounted and wheels re-installed there was a tremendous improvement over the road-worn oxidized cast iron calipers and these weren't painted.
Now the anticipation gets to build. They told me it will take a couple of weeks to get dyes set, built and powder coating done, alone with dealing with the holidays. We're going to start off with black and red sets. I will post photos of both sets and the installation after the first of the year.

New Custom Caliper Covers
Well it's taken longer than promised but the prototyping is finished and the production caliper covers were installed yesterday...
The company is in San Diego and I'm just a customer. I have no financial interest.
If you like what you see you can visit their website at http://www.calipercovers.com
There are more shots of the covers and installation. Just follow the link in my signature line for my photoshop gallery.
