Default how much do you pay for insurance?

i think it's time to shop around for insurance. i've been with state farm for over 15 years. good service overall, but i feel like i'm getting screwed on my premium. $670 every 6 months with a $500 deductible. considering they'll likely value it at under $20k if i were to total it, that seems very high. especially since i have a clean driving record with no accidents or tickets. and i'm getting a discount for having renter's insurance through them. it would be something like $800 without the multiple policy discount.

I am with allstate 8 years I havw a 2005 sc430 pebble beach. I am paying 600.00 every
six months. My daily beater costs me 600.00 as well. The deductable is 500.00 with high
liability protection. Sounds like we are paying the same. I plan on checking around as well

Check Progressive - easy to do on-line
I have 3 autos and now my home with them.
Allstate was boning me on both auto and home, and I haven't had a claim in years (knock on wood)

since I have a company car and my wife and I share the other two "real" cars, we have our SC listed as an occassional or "recreational" 25% of the time driver, which cuts it in half. I believe I pay $300 every six months with decent deductibles. For those of you with extra cars and garage queens, you may want to look into this. I have Farmers...State Farm did the same for us as well with my other cars back in the day.

Currently Progressive, but I see how they treat their insureds and clmts every day. They do not like to pay..and their evaluations are low.I am switching in April. In the event of a big claim or total loss.. I do not want to be insured by Progressive. I feel the same about State Farm, Farmers and Allstate. The fight with their insureds and hate to pay. Your company is only as good as their clam handling.

I have seen much better customer service with Geico. Their rates are within 20 dollars of Progressive.

About $1400 a year for the 04 SC, 02 SC and an 08 Honda Odyssey with a $500 deductible and zero glass deductible for any glass claims.

I was paying approx $2300 per year with Geico for a 2006 SC 430 and a 2007
Honda CRV (loaded). I switched to Amerprise (through Costco). Paying $1800 now with same coverage. Also saved a bunch on Home Insurance through Ameriprise with even higher coverage than I had with High Point (formally Prudential). Paying $1155 instead of $1800.

All three cars are with USAA, my RX is 485/yr, wife's RX is 456/yr, my SC430 is 610/yr. The best company in the world, all my deductibles are $500, been with them for forty years, zero problems.

600 every six months, for a mill in coverage 500 deductable. We had over 750K in claims a year ago, but allstate sold me an accident forgiveness protection clause. I recommend it. My wife in the last two years has had about four tickets, and two accidents, one her fault. So far premiums have stayed the same.

I was with State Farm for the last 3 years. I paid around $1000/yr for two drivers until my sideswipe incident this summer. I was clearly not at fault, have no prior accidents on my record, and have 1 (+5mph) ticket from 2.5 yrs. ago. They paid out approx. $9k total for the accident, and promptly sent me a letter stating they wouldn't renew me when my policy expired this past Nov. I called and asked why, but they couldn't come up with an accurate answer. The same day, my agent called back and said they could still keep me as a customer, but my rates would increase to approx. $1450/yr. I shopped around and signed with The Hartford. They wrote me for $1100/yr., discounted for low mileage (<7,500 mi./yr.). I'm still scratching my head, since my car is a 2002 and I have a relatively clean record. My 2006 LX470 is approx. $875/yr. without the low mileage discount. Go figure.

15 minutes could save you 15%.... Now that's bent knees...or something like that...lol

My 2002 is 312 and the 2003 is about 330 per six months. Also have a son (College student) on same policy. Home and 2 other vehicles are also on this policy. We use Shelter Insurance Company.

$720 a year for two adults and a TEENAGER through State Farm for full coverage. No tickets, no accidents. $400 a year for just liability and comprehensive on a Jeep Grand Cherokee and Chev Pickup.

I've been with State Farm for more years than I'd like to admit, and had a couple of claims over the years. (1 stolen & returned, ran over a rock (boulder) both many years ago) Paying $678. on her 04 SC, w/pleasure usage, and $790 for my 07 ES w/10k mileage usage. $250 deductible on both. Switching tomorrow, (I think) Geico was more and so was Nationwide. Got a quote from Travelers $850. for both. Plus my house insurance is going to be about $90. cheaper also. Trying to make sure we are talking apples to apples for coverages. Going in tomorrow to make sure we are on the same page. Can't believe there is that much difference. Anybody had good/bad experiences with Travelers? Would like to hear before tomorrow afternoon. Thanks
