I wonder why Lexus didn't put the beautiful optitron instrumentation in the SC430 like it did in the LX470.
One of the things I really like about our LX470 is the white-on-black optitron instrumentation panel. It is really soothing (and therapeutic to me) to the eyes. The tach/speedo/oil pressure/etc. needles are very nearly uniformly lit up and seem to float magically.
By comparison, I was disappointed in our SC430 by the slightly more garish orange/red needles are which glow brighter nearer their pivot point and are definitely not as pleasing to look at as the Optitron instrumentation.
Anyone else observe the LX470 intrument panel and know what I am talking about?
