The ballast was $419 and the rest was labor. They charge $119/hr at Lexus of Orange Park. I was expecting to pay around $1000, so I was satisfied about $710.

^^^1, I've stopped by lexus of Orange park, first class operation, wish all Lexus dealers were like them

^^ Yea, they definitely made the whole repair experience smooth and care-free. They gave me an '09 ES350 as a loaner for 6 days. It drove exactly like my Avalon. I wouldn't be surprised to find out it has the same engine and transmission in both cars.

great news playa!!!! $710 isn't terrible...could have been worse! Look at it this way...I believe the OEM HID bulbs for the car were at one time a couple of hundred bucks each, so $710 for the ballasts including installation isn't out of the ballpark. Six days of a loaner car...with full tank of gas would be worth $200 bucks alone if you had to get a car through a rental car agency! Not bad...hopefully you got a good car wash out of the deal too.

^^ definitely. They said they did more than 4 hours of work (which is believable to me) but they only charged me for two. If it wasn't for that it would've been over $1000. I wish all Lexus dealers were like the Orange Park Lexus Associates. Can't say enough about their great service.
