Default Clear Floor Mats?

Hey guys,

quick question for you...
I have just a new SC As some of you may know from my previous thread. Problem is the carpets and mats are light color and get dirty very easily...

Can you guys recommend an alternative darker color floor mats? Or are there clear Floor mats that I can put over the current Lexus one to not get them dirty?

Any specific recommendations? What do you guys use? I'm also a little cautious since all the floor mat acceleration problems

The Exactmats are the best in my opinion, when wanting a clear mat. They exactly match the mats in our cars. I use them and like them a lot.

Here's their website....

http://www.clearmats.com

You can find them a tad bid cheaper on eBay, but you get free shipping through the clearmats.com site.

if you don't like the feel of plastic, i'd recommend black mats and a steam cleaner. i use one every few months and my nine year old floor mats look almost new.

Thanks for the tip fellas.

This got me thinking about the feel of plastic. Is it slippery at all, I am not sure that I will like the feeling. Any opinions on how black mats will look with a camel interior?

Lastly, any recommends. on the Black Mats? Genuine Lexus? They're probably very pricey, no?

I can appreciate what you mean about maybe not liking the feel of the clear plastic mats. All I can say is....I don't even think about that when I'm driving the car. So they must not be too slippery. The best thing about the clear mats (besides keeping your carpeted mat protected) is that they clean and vacuum so easily. You can literally clean them adequately by wiping them with nothing more than a wet paper towel. I never remove them, I just wipe them down after I vacuum. They also stay directly on top of the carpeted mat.....no slippage. They come with clips to ensure no movement.

As far as black mats with your camel interior, I would think something like that is just a personal thing. I think it would look okay; I don't think it would look bad necessarily. But, knowing me, I think I would stick to what was originally designed for the car.

I think the price of all the different colors of our mats is around $105.00, and probably add another $15 or so for shipping. You may be able to find better deals on eBay but you've got to be careful because some aren't selling genuine Lexus mats.

Here's a company I've used. I got a cargo mat for my trunk (with spare) from this site.

I have weathertech mats in mine, they are trim to fit, which is perfect.

I love them more than plastic ones; they have grooves in them to keep the water in.
