For all of you that have had paint repairs...I thought that the whole reason for basecoat/clearcoat repairs was that you could do a minor spot repair, sanding down and priming, and then painting and clear-coating the area and then color sanding..rather than having to re-paint the whole panel...or am I off-base? Reason I am asking this is because I have "spot repaired" paint on several clear-coat/base coat cars, and have been very successful...and now, when we get quotes for minor problems (1" blemishes) the paint shops always want to repaint the entire panel...am I off base or? Would not consider on hood, doors...top...but, on front or rear apron blemishes I think that this is overkill...let me know your thoughts and experience...Bob
