Is the RX8 spare size 125/70/R17? I was looking at another auction (2004 RX8 spare) and didn't go for it when I found out the size. The OEM specified spare is 145/70/R17 which makes the overall diameter at 25" (about 0.7" smaller than the regular tire). However, the Mazda spare will be 23.9" in diameter (about 1.8" smaller than regular)! Is this spare O.K. for load distribution? I realize that spares are meant for short distances. But, 1.8" difference appears to be significant....is it? Also, 125 makes the width narrower by 0.8"....less tire on the road

Can someone who has experience help sort this out.

I got my Supra TT spare by registering on the Supra forum and putting in a request for one. There was a local guy that sold it to me for $45 and no shipping since I just drove by and picked it up.

If you specifically want an RX spare for the smaller size or weight, trying doing the same on their forum.
