MARTINI3, thank you! i appreciate the accolades. she might make her way as far as SEMA, but lets cross our fingers.
KaiserSea, yes, Leigh at BRS does have this kit in stock now. this kit is super nice, and ive dealt with fiberglass etc before and this is a dream compared to others i have seen. fits well and well designed with enough flexibility to taylor it if need be.
ICENPINKI: Leigh rules! haha, he is easy to deal with and has made some great cars. he hasnt seen this yet, but i e mailed him last night so i hope he approves.
you guys rock. thanks for your support. i couldnt do this without you guys.

Yes. The top still works. We actually taped bricks on tve deck well before paint to ensure the weight didn't throw off the sending unit that opens it. It's like a garage door where too much resistance sends a fail message and it won't open. The wing is carbon fiber from APR and still heavy, but the top works. We are going to put it on a switch to open remotely as well.
HOWEVER, the trunk doesn't stay open because of the weight. I need much heavier duty pistons for that if anyone has advice. I almost lost a finger 3 days ago finding this out the hard way.
Nice car. Losing a finger? It's not an even trade off. I'd much rather have my fingers in tact.
Keep any questions coming. She really is half yours. You guys have given me so much good help (I.e. The option to drop the top with a remote!).
Talk soon and tell your friends!! Who wants to see it on a magazine cover? Let's try, right?

sexy ride! i like the different star color from the rest of the car as well as the candy coated fuschia rims! the widebody definitely is a unique look on the sc, and i think you pulled it off nicely! great work!

Man, that is a crazy ride! A little on the square side for me, but still nice. Here is some motivation for your turbo project. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pC3t3PcNspo . If I'm not mistaken this is the first wide body twin turbo SC430. All metal body work to boot. Here is the info on the car. http://www.lextreme.com/sc430tt.html . Keep up the good work man!

OMG! That's one incredible SC430 I've ever seen in my life. Great workmanship!
If the tail lights got LED lights then it would be awesome. Something different than the +06 sc430 tail lights.

ill tell you what. ive been looking for an aftermarket tail light for a while and nothing. not even in japan. i think the 06+ are still kinda boring, so like i said, im going to red tint them. thank you again for the input.
J THREE: i have seen the twin sc430... i just am not that impressed. its a nice setup, but i think i can do more with less. i was considering twins, but my installer and i settled on a single kit with big power but fast spool up. plus i can keep some creature comforts in tact and also it will look sharp.
ill let you know

The paint looks awesome, as does the widebody. I understand you needed to do something with the front bumper, but I just don't like it. I also hate the wheel color.
You have a very unique/cool car - and it is apparently designed exactly how you wanted it. I wish you much success with this car as I can see how much work has gone into it...

That car is all kinds of craziness but I expect nothing less from BRS. They sure do love pink and matte black. I don't believe that thing is going to be rolling around ohio o and I didn't read the whole thread yet but I just had to comment now
