A win win situation
Yesterday for the first time, I chose to keep rather than to divest myself of a car at the conclusion of a lease. At the time I leased my 2008 SC430, I thought that this car might be the final car I would have. Now, two years later, I have decided that it will be my final car.
My reasons, the SC has given me the most pleasure of any car I have ever had. It is not only equipped with every luxury and technology feature that I desire but I also find great pleasure simply looking at the beauty of its design.
Second, the number of years ahead in which I have to drive are rapidly diminishing. Driving this car for those years is going to be a sheer delight.
Lastly, although not a consideration because of my enjoyment with the SC, the residual payoff to Lexus is $34.900. With only 4,264 miles on it, I have in essence a new car, one whose value is so much greater in every way then any new car I could purchase for $35K.
Yesterday, I mailed a cashier's check for the purchase. I truly believe that it is a win win situation.

Any time a car is owned by someone who truly loves it, it is a win-win situation.
In Russia, car loves you! ""
I bought this car originally for reasons other than personal enjoyment and taste. In fact, I planned on selling it in a year. Now I can't see myself ever parting with it. Call it being spoiled, but any/every car I've sat in since seems like a huge step/let down.

Congratulation as a NEW OWNER. Now you have all the rights and responsibilities of ownership. Wait a sec... you had those before, but it was Lexus' car and now it's all yours.
While you kept the miles down so far, here's hoping you go out and have the wind blow through you hair more often.
Cheers!
