Discovered the source of the wind noise!
I know a few of you have complained about the wind noise coming from the driver's side but couldnt find the source. I believe I may have found it....on my car at least. Will know for sure once the dealer fixes it.

yup, mine has the same exact issue. I knew also that thats where the wind noise was coming from because if i put my finger over it while driving on the highway the wind noise would disappear.
havent had time to take it to the dealer to see if they'll cover it under warranty but im sure that they give me some type of BS (like cuz of my tints) excuse that it isnt covered. but im gonna try and see what they say.

I can't imagine how tints would have any effect on this area. The warranty is suppose to cover any weather-stripping defects. I have had many cars with frameless windows and never had this. Not sure when I will take it in though so I suggest you take of it before your warranty is up. I've got over a year left on my factory warranty, plus the CPO one (which doesn't cover weather-stripping, trim etc).

I had that entire piece replaced and did me no good...hope you have better luck.
I've owned about 20 convertibles out of the 30 cars I've owned in my life, and they all make some type of wind noise at some time in their lives. I've learned to live with it...turn up the ML's!!!

So what is your theory? Is that the glass extends beyond the seal or that it is uneven inside to out? Is it different than the passenger side (I'm away from my carso I can't go out and check)?

My driver side is fine; passenger is ripped. Going in Saturday to be fixed. I'll post after.

Had it replaced under warranty.....and it solved the problem...
Of course there is always some wind-noise on both sides, but it was much louder on the driver's side b/c of the tear. Now they sound the same from what I can tell.

Just checked mine and the driver side is slightly split and makes a low volume wind noise. The passenger side is fine and no noise. I am going to try some type of gasket fix (Permatex?) before taking to the stealership!

I noticed my CPO lexus had this same problem. The rubber seal on the window is splitting. I brought it into to the dealer and they said it was not covered under warranty. I read through the CPO Warranty and didn't find anything significant that would say this is excluded.
Does anyone know if this should be covered?
Thanks,
