There are plastic screen covers you can buy for the nav screen. I'd recommend a really good electronics screen cleaner for computers/tv's and a fine polishing cloth to clean first and then put the screen cover on.

Also the door is a common problem, at least I've heard of a couple doors creaking. I tightened a couple of bolts on mine and put some silicone spray on it and it was good. I'd start there...if not, you may have to take it to dealer.

Thanks.

I saw them at Park Place Lexus Plano last weekend. $12.95 for a three pack I think. I checked online and they were not listed, but I saw them myself right at the cashier stand in parts. Are you in Dallas? Try calling them or stopping by. They looked pretty nice.

sewellpartsonline has the plastic NAV protectors, too. Look at the offer at the bottom. They are $5.90.

As usual, don't forget to put in the code to get the 10% discount for CL members. The code is CL911M.

Yes, I've cleaned my screen exactly like scdroptop said and it worked well. Electronics stores have a cleaner especially for the big screen TV's (plasma, LCD/LED) nowadays and it usually comes with a microfiber cleaning cloth. That cleaner works well for taking off the fingerprints on the NAV screen. At least, it did on mine.

After the screen is cleaned, the little plastic film protector pretty much solves the problem of the screen getting dirty and getting fingerprints.

The only thing about the plastic film for the NAV screen is that when you first put it on, it gets bubbles underneath it and you'll think they will never go away. But keep working with it and you can eventually get the bubbles out after a few days and the film won't be noticeable. Use a credit card to seal it in the corners of the screen and to help get the bubbles out. Best I remember, I think I was most successful at getting the bubbles out when the interior got really hot on a summer day. Once you get the bubbles out, they do not return.

As far as the door making a noise when you open and close it, my former SC used to do the same thing and they said it was the "door check". They said I'd have to take it to a body shop to fix it. They said it typically happens when wind catches the door and blows it forcefully past the point where it's supposed to stop. But in my case, I think it was because my car had been hit in that door and it just never was repaired adequately. it always bugged me, too, because you hear it every single time you open/close the door.

But I've got a new SC now. I just bought a white '07 Pebble Beach edition with red leather interior. Problem solved!

hey anyone ever take their SC out in the snow? I wanted to see how it did today just for fun...well all I'll say is that's why I have a Range Rover! Ha! actually it wasn't as bad as I thought. But it was just scary enough for me to not want to do it again esp. on 20s.

Yes, a number of folks have taken it out in the snow. It can be a scary experience, as told a number of times in this forum. If you can avoid it, you should. I found it to be surivable and somewhat controllable but not something I care to repeat if I can avoid it. (It was worse than an unloaded pickup but not out of control.)
