Default Trunk floor configuration

My understanding is that at least in the early years, the sc430 was offered with conventional radial tires or run-flats as an option. If equipped with radial tires the spare tire was mounted vertically in the trunk with a fabric cover on it, and the floor of the trunk had a cavity built in to accomadate the spare tire. My question is, if the car was originally fitted with run-flats, does the trunk floor still have the cavity?

Yes, the plastic tray underneath the fabric cover still has the cavity for a spare wheel. The only difference is the fabric cover itself, it won't have the opening for the spare.

My 2003 came with RFT's..and a flat trunk-floor. I bought the Lexus spare tire kit from a seller on a different SC430 forum (yes, I strayed). The kit came with the tire, all of the mounting brackets, a new trunk rear-liner, floor liner, and carpet piece. Looks great...looks OEM.

But it demolishes what little trunk space there is.
