Default Love at first site stories!

I clearly remember my first date with my wife of 37 years, and I remember the birth of my 3 sons, though I have a tendency to mix up the memories of those boys. To this day I remember the night I brought my SC home. I Found the ad on the autotrader for an 02 white gold w/ecru (her favorite on the outside my favorite interior) with only 23K miles for $27K. An exotics dealer who had a few lamborghenies (sp), bentleys, and even a rolls actually had it-probably the least expensive car they had. Funny, since I was about 30 miles away from my home, I didn't know if I was going to beverly hills or the ghetto. We signed a release to take it to a lexus dealer where they verified all service since it was new, as well as verifying the low milage by the service record and their only recommendation was to replace the trunk shocks. When I went to check out this car, it really sounded to good to be true. Now I own it and am ready to drive it home. So, home I went at 10 pm and still about 80 degrees out. Top down, driving the freeways of LA-it felt like a dream. Truly the luxury cruiser. I wanted this car since I first saw it and this was my dream, coming true. June 2008, Out of school (teacher) for the summer. Could hardly sleep-the wife though I'd sleep in it. From there the news got even better. I picked up an extended warranty from my teachers credit union for $1230-7 years/75K miles/zero deductable. So far they paid out over $2K in repairs. Stereo-speakers-gaskets-minor stuff. This baby is warranteed until 2015.

Tonight the wife and I went shopping and cruising (something for her, something for me). 75 degrees at 8pm-top down-playing music videos through the nav/stereo thanks to nav tool/vais tech. Every stop using that luxlink with amazement- walking away from the car while the top and windows close and then the engine shuts down or walking up to it while the engine starts, the roof and windows go down usually with spectators watching-like its a personal welcome from my lovely SC. Wow, the memories keep coming back. Ain't life GRAND!!!! Lets keep making those memories!

Although I put the purchase of my SC well behind the birth of my kids, and wonderful marriage, I have to admit, it was the only long term commitment of these life events that did not require me getting drunk first!
