Default 3 way speakers

the 3 main speakers up front (woofer/mid/tweeters) each produce a range of sound. What are the crossover points?

I understand that there is a high pass and low pass x-over built intothe amp (an active x-over) that splits the signal to the speakers up front. Is the split for the mids & tweeter to one of the amps output and the 6X9s take the other output? Or is the mid grouped with the 6X9?

And at what frequency is the x-over set at? And at what slope?

And then after the amp a passive x-over is used for the mid (and either the 6X9 or the tweeter). What are the specs for this x-over?

Last question, does anyone know what the x-over point is for the sub?

No. Sadly, no one can help.

As I mentioned minutes ago in another post, not many folks care about modding the SC430. Especially not the crappy stock stereo.

I'm replacing the deck and amp with Alpine stuff. Just trying to figure out which amp to get and wether to use the built in amp's x-over (if it filters the correct x-over point of the front speaker , I'll get the 5 channel amp an d not use the rear speakers) or use a 4 channel amp with a passive x-over for the front speaker. Either amp will have 2 channels bridged for a new sub (probably Boston Acustic Pros or Image Dynamics). Rear full range speakers won't be hooked up (no sense in having them used, even if the rear seats were usable)

I tried contacting Harmon consumer group a while back to get some other information and the response I received was that the group I contacted doesn't interact with Lexus consumers directly but that they have set up the OEM group with an inquiry email address specifically for Lexus / Mark Levinson Support and they will respond to your questions directly.

Hope that helps.
