Default JET ECU reprogram RESULTS are IN

Scary, scary. I just mailed the folks at JET my ECU. The manager of my local tire kingdom just retired from Toyota, a former exec involved with TRD. He swears the upgrade will work perfect on 02-04 SC430s for around a 30HP gain. The folks at Jet were a little more conservative claiming 25. They also said that the SC was among the most conservative programs from the factory, so the results have been very good for our car. In 05 they changed the computer to reprogram itself if the specs do not meet factory. He did not know if the 05+ computer will try to over ride the Jet box. I am right now clocking 60 in 5.9 and 1/4 in 13.9

For $350 dollars, I am going to give it a go. I will post a review when I get her back together.

Since going wide on the tires, and dropping my SC with Tanabe performance springs my handling is much better. This will never be a car that can drift, but I can now go hard into corners without any worries. A little more straight line performance, and she will be done!

I know that various chip upgrades work great on F250 turbo diesels to the point that one needs after market mods to the exhaust to keep temps down......can get up to 200 hp more when combined with other mods

However there is this:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...-from-jet.html

i found this when trying to get more info

no doubt this engine has a very conservative program

I had mine done by them 3yrs. ago and I swear there's no difference & they probably didn't do anything (after reading the above-mentioned thread)... I think I bought an expensive sticker.

Kaiser-did you do the 1" Tanabes conservative drop? I have them sitting in my garage I need to pay to have it done. How much labor did they charge to do? Is the ride better in regards to not feeling so clunky with the 20's?

0-60 Down to 4.7 seconds AMAZING

Yes, that would be amazing. Unfortunately after putting LB back together last night, I ran a couple of IPAD tested runs and could not break 6 seconds. Kind of wet out, but as far as I can tell, no improvement. Mighty fine looking sticker though. I don't have any way to test HP, but I will rate this a no go. The Spring drop was 2" and feels much better on the turns. I have a nice sharp on-ramp to the interstate near my home, and with my old set up, I had to work hard to push past 60MPH. Now over 80 she feels very secure.

A friend did the springs, so not sure what the going rate should be. Lexus, and a local tire shop refused to do the work.

No mods, that I know of, and I know that is about half a second faster than stock should be. I have two IPAD apps that I used for testing, both with GPS, and I consistently get 13.9 to 14.2. Since the 0-60 seems pretty dead on, and the numbers on our LS430 appear right, I am guessing a little extra heart, or something was done to her before I bought her.

This has me a bit confused. Just drove to Orlando and back, about 250 miles each way, and in regular mode my MPG was at 25, the best I have recorded. Checked the performance times without using power mode, and 1/4 mile unchanged, but was able to clock 60 twice at 5.7 also a new record for me. In Power mode can't seem to get to 60 under 6 seconds flat. I was thinking the JET reprogram did nothing, now I am not too sure.
