I am reading the July road & track drooling over the SLS AMG Gullwing. The super car is 183K, more beautiful better performing than the LFA at 388K. Forget about the faster GT-R coming in at 80K.
I am looking at a 2010 SC in the showroom at 70K and I can't imagine who would spend that on a 9 year old design. Even the flagship LS is more rare on Miami roads than Bentlys. The only Lexus I see with any numbers these days is the IS, which is more Toyota, not exactly the pride of our fleet. Where is the value that was Lexus?

The value of the Lexus SC has diminished when compared to the brands who continued to not stand still but to evolve.
Complacency is a drug and it appears that the management of Lexus has overdosed.
Half-way through the life history of the SC, performance upgrades could have and should have been done. Instead, the model stagnated into a very sedate and unexciting vehicle when measured against it competitors.
Too bad.

I think the early model sc430's are a great value, you can buy them for 18 thou and above with reasonable miles, drive it for 5 years and tack on lets say 50 thou more miles, and still sell the car for good money. The bottom line is the lex will cost you less in the long run, with regular maintenance being far less than merc or bmw of similiar stature.
I agree totally with you CAR Buff on the performance, handling and also stereo upgrade options(ipod) that should have been addressed, but! The ladies from young to old still love the looks of the sc and never turn down a ride, a great grandmother tried to buy it from me after she took a spin but theres no room in her garage, so i'm keepin her(the sc).The only complaint I have ever had,was the possibility of a passengers wig flying off,my only reply was hold on!Then, Sorry Mom!

In my earlier post I stated my criticism of Lexus and their lack of action regarding the SC.
Allow me now to confess that it took me a lifetime (39 cars) to finally sit behind the wheel of a car that fits me to a T. That car is my SC430. I absolutely love this car!!!!!!
My SC gives me a greater sense of pleasure then any other car I have owned. I have no doubt that it will be the final car I will own.

and a decent anti-roll bar in front and back would solve problably 85% of those.
