It sounds like TXFM's problem was related to oxidized or corroded battery terminals. After he cleaned them up and recharged his battery, his problem went away.

Hi Harold - yes probably. How's your blue car running?

Ole blue is still going strong and turns 10 this summer. How many miles are you up to now with your silver '01?

Any resolution on this. I hear a quiet beep from time to time, coming from (I believe) behind the dash area.

I have a clicking like a turn signal noise every so often. I think it is luxlink related.

Mine is definitely a beep. Volume isn't that high. I don't have luxlink.

Really weird .. I read this thread two days ago and today it happened to me. About 5 or 6 loud beeps as I was on hwy doing around 110km/h. Sounded like it was coming from driver side dash area. No warning lights or anything and its the first time it's happened. Does manual have any info regarding weird beeps?. As for my tire pressure monitor I disabled it last year because it would beep every minute -___-

I had this noise a couple of years ago, and it went away. Now it comes on every time I start up, and there are no indicator lights or gauge problems. I don't have to have the car in motion either.

I had the dealer disable the run-flat computer about 5 years ago, so I don't see how it could be that.

Any ideas?
Thanks!
May not be your beep beep related, but I thought it's a good to know thing.

At a red light stop & while in the D (for drive forward gear), you lower the roof.
The roof will go all the way down but will not let you fully locked in place...green light...now you drive off...now comes the beep beep beep behind the dash and the roof's red light at the switch stays on.

To stop the beep beep...at a stop light again...put the gear in P (park)...press the open roof again...you will hear the last "lock in place" noise...no more beep beep...put back gear to D...smile and enjoy the air.

Heard it again at a light. It's like 5 or 6 beeps and louder then regular seat belt beep... My tpms is unplugged.. I wonder what it is.. And my roof was closed properly.

Lol Are we communicating with aliens here ?

Default Tpms

This sound like a TPMS problem. Several times I had a tire sensor malfunction and this caused a terrible beeping. Even if the tire is not low on air, a broken sensor may cause a repeated beeping sound.

For about 4 years I put up with this problem until I finally decided to have my tire sensors removed. There is a thread on how to dissable the TPMS which is very useful.

Now I am running 4 valve stems and I am much happier.,,

I know that this is an old thread, but I had this mystery beep occur last night. I think it may have happened a couple of months or so ago under similar circumstances, but since there were no warning lights on, and everything worked fine, I didn't think much of it.

There were about 6 fairly loud beeps coming from the driver's side behind the dash, and it happened right when I came to a rather sudden stop from about 50 MPH (red light). Again - no warning lights, top up, about 75 degrees, and nothing else out of the ordinary.....

If anyone has a clue about what to check, please chime in.....

I had this problem on my SC as well, but it hasn't happened for 2 years now.
Yesterday, it beeps on my Prius after sudden stop and acceleration. Turned out it was low on engine oil. Maybe it's worth a check.
