How "harsh" is too harsh of a ride?

BMW has figured out how to do the trade off to balance out things, but it is still something of a trade off....and every beemer I have been in, has always had a bit of a hard ride.....but not nearly as harsh as the 2002-05 on bumps....I do think one possibility, is the Beemer have always had better anti-sway systems, which permits a softer "bump" ride and probably better shock valving....

Hi. I am a new member & just saw the post regarding the rough ride ... I have a Red 2006 SC 430 ( love it ..except on ice and snow ..) and from the very beginning ( purchased car when it was a year old used ) was surprised at how rough it rides .. Previously I had a Reatta & think the Reatta was a bit smoother of a ride then my SC430 ... but I love it anyway !

they need a stiffer sway bars, better shocks that have some inertia type valving, RESULT:the handling will improve and so will the ride
