Refurbished my wheels
I had my wheels refurbished at a local wheel shop this week. Attached are the before and after pictures. The center star portion that I thought was metal, was actually plastic. I did not like the original color of that piece.

$185 at Wheel Technologies in Farmers Branch, Texas. www.wheeltechnologies.com
Discount Tire recommended them to me. The metal part of the wheel is repaired and then painted black. The then paint several coats of silver. The color I was going for was "dark shadow chrome". They got it a bit lighter than I wanted it. If I decide I want them to, they will do the job over. They are really nice to work with and will take care of you is you ever have a problem.

They look good, but thats pretty steep in my opinion. For $800, you can pick up a whole new set of wheels at most tire shops.
I had two cracked/bent original OEM wheels last month. Was going to spend $150/each to get them repaired, but opted instead to spend a few hundred more and was able to get a nice new set. But it totally depends on preference though, I know lots of people like sticking to OEM gear.
I like the new chrome though!

The filled in part is just welding. I looked at quite a few aftermarket wheels but decided to stay somewhat stock. I had a bad experience with aftermarket wheels on a different import back years ago. The price is high but only about half of the price for new. These guys do a lot of the dealer repairs so I suspect if I had bought a Certified SC430, the wheels would have been through this shop. I think the chrome looks great but just not for me.
