Thats odd.

Well, if they dont go flat again im gonna feel like a schmuck when i take it back in an hour, but they should still put on new o-rings.

KBALL, did your rear tires hold air after refilling them at the gas station? If they didn't, I'd first check the tires to make sure that you didn't pick up something (like nails or screws) after the install.

If you didn't get any punctures, then I'd call the dealer and see what they can do for you. It seems to me that they ought to feel responsible for their work, if their work is the root of the cause here. I'm sure that they'd rather pay for towing than a lawsuit and bad press.

I had a slow leak that couldn't be found with the tire/wheel placed in a water tank looking for bubbles. The air only leaked when the car was run at high speed, not slow speeds. Car could be driven around town for days with no loss, but jump on interstate and the TPS light came on within 10 miles. The fix was to re-torque the TPS's. O-rings did not need to be replaced, just torqued.

Bob scores again...and poqman.

Turns out the toyota technicians torqued all for nuts to only 1 lb. instead of 3 lbs. per bobs schematic. total negligence if you ask me.

Now im wondering why i should continue to have my 4runner serviced there let alone the lexus.

That said they did get the tpms install right it seems...minus the torque.

I drove back from the dealer w my lady following me. Tires at 39psi when i left dealer. When i got home all 4 were 42. If i dont lose air over the next week, i'll drop them a few more psi.

Thanks again to all the knowledgable folks here always contributing. Communities like this really impress. The only other forum i belong to is Ernie Ball Guitar forum. Great people there as well.
