Replacement door speakers
The mid and bass speakers on my 2003 sc430 doors are starting to go. After talking to Crutchfield they are an odd size, that they don't have. Where can I find direct replacements and who would you get to install them (glass shop?) What have people paid? The dealer wants $800 parts and install. I have way to many projects to tackle it my self (I did see the posting) Thanks

If you use the search feature you'll find about a dozen threads on this... This is a do it your self job....you can spend anywhere from OEM speakers $220 down to a speaker repair shop which will refoam the cone making it sound like new.
Really.... use Advanced Search, SC430 thread and speaker it's all there...

Here's one of the many threads to get you started: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lex...all-sc430.html
Remember if plan to go with another speaker, you really need to match speaker impedance and watch the depth as there isn't much room with the glass etc etc.

If I read your original posting correctly you are looking for a reasonably inexpensive turnkey job and you want to stick with the OEM units. Bearing in mind that there might be some inherent conflicts in that statement, my suggestion is to have your speakers re-foamed. As an example the Speaker Exchange (Tampa, FL) will do this for about $40 each if I recall correctly, with turnaround time of about a week or so. If you want a "professional" involved you could go to an auto sound shop for the removal / reinstall. One shop in my area wanted $100 to do each side. They might even handle everything so you wouldn't have to do anything except pay money. Refoaming will do no more than return the speaker to original performance but it's the least expensive option. As VVTiBob indicated there are threads in this forum that cover various DIY aspects of this job if you're put off by labor costs.
