Default Engine Temperature Gauge Reading?

I'm curious I live in SoCA, fairly warm, looking at the engine temperature gauge and labeling “H” at 100% and “C” at 0.0%, I’m constantly reading about 47%, just below the halfway mark to “H”, what are others reading on their gauge?

I live in San Diego and that's where mine routinely sits after warming up.

The past week here has been 97-100 degrees and my temp gage behaves as you describe - just under halfway up from "C."

Just a hair over the 1/2 way mark even in 118 weather.

Never varies.

Thanks for the feedback. I was trying to access what the normal everyday reading should be with these cars, and it sounds like of our engine temperature gauges are very consistent, which is a good thing.
