Interior roof gap

I know it's an old post, but I thought I would bump this up because I have the same problem. Has anyone found a fix or have the same problem with the gap on the passenger side?

If you really don't want to take it to a dealership, hopefully someone else has some thoughts on how to make the screw tighten more.
If no one responds, then here is the $1 fix answer:
1. Buy electrical tape
2. Open your roof part way so the black connecting 'screw' is revealed on the roof. This is referring to the black 'screw' that goes inside the hole.
3. Wrap electrical tape tightly around the "thinner" part of the screw a few times.
4. Close the roof
That's it, the rattles should disappear

Wrapping electrical tape around the 'screw' simply leverages the existing torque so it results in a tighter seal. you're asking an owners forum and the historical consensus is take the car into the dealership to get it fixed properly, otherwise the electrical tape solution is a simple temporary fix. for what it is worth, the operation of the lexus top does not have "hundreds of little sensors."

Bump for some help. I found something out yesterday. I was driving 60mph and pushed up firmly on the roof with my fist on the passenger side, and made the wind noise increase heavily. I did the same to the driver side roof (the side without the gap) and the wind noise stayed quiet. Then I accelerated to 90mph and the wind noise on the passenger side became very loud and even overtook the radio. I hope someone can help!

My 2002 has the gap on the passenger side roof too. But it does't concern me as much as the fact that the driver side roof seems to be too tight/low so the driver side door cannot be closed if the window is all the way up.
I have to crack the window a little to close the door. Not sure if this is related to the passenger side roof gap. I think it is because the roof is now not aligned evenly on both sides.
