I vote "MIDNIGHT" for a new nickname.
Alternate maybe "STEALTH"

Nationally, 4.3 2010 SC's are sold each week on average this year.

WOW!

Congratulation Katy....But now I want to know one thing. Remember your thread back in May when Jade got bang up in the parking lot?

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...oponion-4.html

Remember how upset you were and we ALL were for you about the total lack of respect by that unnamed person?

What are you going to do about the "work" parking situation? What countermeasures will be used to protect "Jet" (my name suggestion) from the evil that lurks in the petty minds of others?

Wow, congrats on the black 2010! You are the only one I've seen post saying that they have purhcased the final year, SC430. I wish I could join you in that group. Don't forget to post pictures!

I am completely envious of your awesome purchase. How great would it be to have contemporary electronics?! My SC was built in Feb, 2001 so he's coming up on his 10th birthday - one of the first 3000 according to the VIN. Coincidentally your 2010 SC's build date is MY birthday. Enjoy.

I've been using Zaino's Clear Seal (ZCS) on my wife's black car and my silver SC. Seems to do a great job of keeping the finish protected. And super easy to use. I also now swear by the California Car Duster -- and before haters talk about scratching paint, it is much more gently then using a shammy or other drying towel after a wash, and in SoCal (and Arizona) can greatly decrease the frequency of washing your car.

i bought a california duster because of this forum. and i have to say i'm not a fan. i'm not convinced it won't scratch the paint. but there's a much more obvious problem. it uses static electricity to remove dust. it builds up that charge rubbing against your paint. when it does that, it leaves a charge on your paint as well. so while it's clean when you're done, you've turned your car into a dust magnet.

Bob, I may have gotten that problem fixed. I now have a co workers Beemer on one side, and the lady who "may" have done the deed on the other side. But its funny, you should see how careful she is now!

I may get even more fanatical and bring my car cover to work!!

Hi guys.. I am thinking a "girl" name..

I tend to use real peoples names, because my cars always become real to me, and have their own personalities.

This car is finding her own personality..but she is is a sophisticated lady, who makes a statement. Midnight.. too "dark" Betty .. ?? not right..

Jet..? no..

Keep those ideas coming.!

Almost jumper out of my seat today, when the navi weather said " storm in the area"..whoa!

Pictures this weekend!!! As long as it does not rain!

I did a Google search last week on the final SC 430s being built, and saw something about the final run being special color combos that were going to be available in Japan only. I think the story was dated in June, but I never could find a story from the end of July about the actual end of production.
