Default I Bit The Bullet ... Say Hello To My Little Friend

I live in Denton, Texas in the DFW metro area and I've lurked on the site for months now while I looked for the right car for me. I looked at over 15 cars before I settled on this one. Yesterday I bought my first SC430. If the 45 miles I've driven it so far are any indication, this may become an obsession. I got a 2007 Tigereye Mica (or Pearl?) with Camel, CPO with 17K miles on it and extended the warranty for 6 years, so I am in it for the long haul. I almost had to pinch myself this morning when I came out of Home Depot ... I kept looking for my old car and was pleasantly reminded I have a new woman in my life..

Here are a few photos...

G, my old car was a 2007 Prius Touring. Quite a difference. I had a Mercedes E320 before the Prius, and while it was a decent little car loaded to death with every option imaginable, it just didn't have that "sound" when the door closed, you know? I had it for 3 years and it had 13K miles on it. We'll miss "Pearl" but happy to have the new car.

Never could put my finger on why, when I first heard they were doing a brown SC I thought what an ugly color, who would buy a brown sports car! But this is by far the best looking color IMO. The car is already rare but yours really stands out Enjoy it for years.

Thanks all, happy to be here as an owner instead of a lurker! The next step is letting the car tell me her name... my E320 was "Janis" after Janis Joplin (Oh Lord Won't You Buy Me...), of course. And the Prius was "Pearl" because the color was Driftwood Pearl. We'll have to see what she calls herself. When I look at it, being the chocoholic that I am I just want to lick it.. but, I resist.... at least in front of anyone.

She goes back to the dealer on Tuesday for a wet color sanding to remove some superficial scratches. I may have a little separation anxiety...

Beautiful car. Enjoy it. You bought it at just the perfect time to enjoy with the weather we are having here. (I see tops dropping everywhere, including mine.)

Welcome to the forum.

The molding was apparently some sort of dealer specific add on according to Park Place Lexus. I didn't really notice it until the salesman pointed it out.

My Sony CyberShot doesn't have a star filter.. I was surprised as well!

Your car sounds awesome... I'm sure you treasure it.

Congrates and Welcome. May you enjoy many years of trouble free motoring, even after the warranty is long gone. If you are going to lick, make sure you don't lick the exhaust pipes after it has been running. lol How about "Rockie" for eye of the tiger.
