tourmalines and spacers
I have read that some have opted for the upgrade Tourmaline wheels in machine or chrome. The wheel looks great, but I can't help but think it would look even better with a spacer set up. Has anyone used a high quality spacer kit with this wheel. Can it be done? I think the concave style might really pop with a few mm's of offset. I have read a bit about the HRE spacer kits, but will they work on the Tourmalines. This and a nice coil over might be the ticket for my piepans and cupped runflats I am living with.

Here's a nice link on spacers. There's several more available by using the "Search" feature.

I have a 2002 with tourmalines.
20mm ichiba spacers on front
30mm kicks spacers on the rear.
No fitment issues, nothing special needed to be done when installed. Just bolt on.
Hope that helps,

Pictures didn't come out as well as I would have liked but you should get the idea. First two are stock, second two are with spacers installed. The last one is of the spacers I used, 30mm H&R's on the rear and 20mm Ichiba's on the front. I mixed brands because I was impatient and didn't want to wait for the 20mm H&R's. If I had to do it again I would wait for the one piece H&R's and probably go to 15mm on the front. I don't see anything wrong with the 2 piece Ichiba's, I just think the H&R's make a cleaner installation. You don't have to change out studs, they both spacers have pressed in studs that bolt directly to your hub. The 20's have about 3/8" of stud exposed after you tighten them down but the Tourmalies have a cavity back that easily accommodates them.
