I was happy with Dunlop Direeza 101s on my SC
These are not runflats

Welcome to the forum.... this question has been asked so many times and there are lots of opinions. The search button in the menu near the top is a great resource. Just click on search, then ADVANCED Search, then use keywords and the SC430 forum.

But besides that be aware that tire on our SCs are notorious for the fast wear usually 20-25K. Alignment and rotation are very important, along with camber angles for longer tread life. Good luck with your search and once again, welcome.

It really depends on how much you want to spend. I had Nitto NT555 on my SC. They were a bit loud, but had pretty good performance through the corners and such. I am really impressed with the NEXEN N3000s that I have on it now. I went to a staggered setup and the NEXENS and they have performed well. They are quieter than the Nittos. The grip in the wet could be better but it's not too serious. After these, I think I'm going to try the BFGoodrich KDW2s. Love the aggressive look of the tires. But I heard that the BFGs are really loud and are worth the money. GL with your search!

I have Pirelli Pzeros and they're just "ok." I feel like you cant go wrong with michelins.

For all its worth I am replacing my runflats and after doing some research I have narrowed my choice down to three:

1) Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position
2) Continental ExtremeContact DWS
3) Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus

Since I live in the northeast I have to give some consideration to snow and ice so that complicates my decision even though I don't do much driving with the SC430 when the weather gets nasty unless I get caught in the bad weather.

Anyone have any feedback to give on the choice between the three listed above? Thanks.

Hi Vito,

Well, since you asked: I vote for #3.

But I am biased as I have ran Michelins on my cars since 1962.

I have never had a problem with any Michelin tire that I have ever owned. And I have always been very satisfied with the performance.

I love my Yokohama S. Drives. Just my two cents. I researched the hell out of them before I bought.

Lots of great opinions on here. I read all the reviews of G37, GS, BMW owners on their cars that had RFT's and went to non RFT's and ultimately settled on this tire due to the great reviews 4/5 stars with over 100 reviews on www.tires.com

I have 22"s on my FX35 and love the Yoko Parada Spec-X on there so I thought I'd try these out on the SC's 20" and love them.

Here is the link to review all 18" tires available. Hopefully you will find useful too and this will help you make a good decision. Good luck!

I can give you a few data points on the Bridgestones. The previous owner of my SC had replaced the RFTs with Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position tires about 10K miles prior to selling. I think he did this because he got a deal at Firestone but they have turned out to be decent tires. Today with about 12K miles on them there is about 8/32" or better tread all around and they are wearing well. I don't really use them for "performance" driving so I can't offer much feedback on extreme cornering or braking but the ride is reasonably good and they're quiet on most road surfaces. Performance in heavy rain is a question mark but on wet streets and light rain they've been fine.

I just replaced my RFs earlier this year with Yokohoma YK520 and have been pleased with them so far, but I've only put a few thousand miles on them so far. They actually come with a 60kmi warranty.

I've had problems with flat spots in cold weather with the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position's. Takes about 5 minutes to get them round after sitting overnight. Something to consider in colder environments.

Hello,
I just replaced my Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole tires after 35K miles. I had a problem with flat spots from day one even after the car sitting for just a day.
The tires ran quiet and gripped very well wet for the first 20k miles but then grew louder and began sliding quite a bit.

I'm now running Continental ExtremeContact DWS. Very quiet and great grip but they only have 1000 miles on them
