wheel fitment questions
hi all, i m new here. i just purchased a 02 sc430 black/black all stock. i want to put on some new rims on the vehicle. the size i m looking at is:
20 x 8.5 - 32mm offset F
20 x 9.5 - 40mm offset R
or
20 x 8.5 - 20mm offset F
20 x 9.5 - 25mm offset R
which setup would you guys recommend? do they need any spacers or fender modification. i might lower my car just a bit in the future.
thanks,
ricky

"For the record, the stock SC430 wheels they are 18x8 +45..."
It won't stick out at all, but rather it will be 1/2" closer to looking flush.
Did you read the link that goes to the TireRack page defining offset? It is in the link in the 1st post of the page taken to the link of the 1st post in the sticky. If all specs remain the same, the smaller the offset, more distance will be between passenger and driver side wheels.
Looking at the chart, it seems that for every 1/2 in width that is decreased, the offset must be decreased by 6 otherwise the wheels will begin to stick out and rub). It shows a 10" with offset of +24, so your 9.5 at +25 is no problem ( you could go as low as 24-6= +18). Your 9.5" wheels will be ok too.
