Default Does anyone recognize these parts from the top?

I was cleaning the car and opened the top half way for better access to some hard to reach spots. I found two rubber parts lying in this area that I saw no obvious places where they were intended to go. Can Anyone help?

The first part was down in the hinge area.

close up of where it was lying.

looks like a bumper pad that has fallen off something about the size of a quarter.

The second part was found lying under the back shelf.

The first piece (rubber stopper thingy) goes here on top of the exposed screw.

Second piece looks like the wind deflector in between the rear seats (clear glass) it holds the glass in place at the bottom. If yours is missing-there you go! You can gently tilt the glass one way or the other to slide the rubber piece under there. I've removed it before accidently while cleaning it.

That rubby baby buggy bumper is a PAIN to get back onto the screw.

I've removed it once before.

While it makes the most sense to screw the screw back in and then put the rubber bumper back on, I found it basically impossible.

I ended up taking the screw out, prying the bumper back onto the screw, and then putting the screw back in place...using pliers about the bumper to tighten it down.

I find the best way to get the stoppers back on is to twist and push down. Worked for me a few times.

I love this site! Thanks Z3NK1 and Habious. The bumper went back onto the screw head with much twisting, grunting, pushing and griping. Now that I know it goes there, I need to get one for the other side that is missing. How it ever came off and got down in the hinge well area is a mystery to me.

scdroptop...I thought the second piece also went under the wind deflector, but the rubber part has a "post" on the bottom to fit in a hole to anchor it, but there is no hole under the wind deflector. However, there is a slot cut in the wind deflector that looks like it was cut for this part. Could someone take a picture of their deflector with the part installed?

The "post" goes down. It makes the piece fit in tightly under the rear windscreen.

Thanks Habious! Looking at the picture, that is definitely the part I found. I'll install it tonight.

Thanks everyone!

Poqman-you may want to clean that up a little before you do so! Glad we could help and more importantly glad there was nothing major wrong or missing! I bet you were a little concerned at first finding those.
