Habious when are you and Johnnycake going to invent cooled seats for us??? I'm ready!!!! I'm ready!!!! We can get our mule seats from x-vipers for like $500 to start and wire 'em up and do what you guys do (magic) and then you can start a nice little business selling us cooled seats!!! Also, can you work on some paddle shifters too?

I've actually looked into the paddle shifters.

It's quite doable for a 2006+ with the 6-speed tranny. Not so simple on the 5-speed.

And I agree on the cooled seats! Would LOVE to have them in the summer!

Default I'm Sirius

I see this is an old thread but I recently got my '06 from my Dads "fleet" of toys and couldn't be more excited. I've been ogling that car since he got it. I installed the VAIS SoundLinQ2 SL3i - Apple® iPod™ interface adapter as soon as I could get it shipped. Overnight shipping cost me a fortune but was still much cheaper than what Lexus dealer wanted and I'm not even sure what product they use. Whatever they put in my sisters '05 is awful. I do kind of miss my SiriusXM. I know that Vais has an adapter but the support guy said I needed an external control unit in addition to the adapter. I really don't want anything external. Is there any other alternative?

The "Support Guy" is wrong...whoever he is.

JohnnyCake has an '06, and he's got the VAIS Sirius adapter. Everything (other than the antenna) is tucked away, completely out-of-sight...and he controls it with the buttons on the front of the radio (and the steering wheel controls). Changes stations, sets presets, the works.

He also has a VAIS iPod adapter...also totally out-of-sight (even the iPod itself is buried in the center console).

What options does the 2002 model have for hooking up with the iPod?

None. You have to add after market equipment to allow the hookup. There are a few threads in this forum on that. I believe that there are at least two or three options available to you. (I'm drawing a blank on the models right now though, so do a search.)
