Default Custom Exhaust

Can anyone with an aftermarket exhaust tell me how loud it is on the highway? A couple months ago, something came loose inside my stock exhaust and it's fairly loud now. Toyota looked at it and said everything looks fine from the outside, so all they could do is replace it. I'm considering doing an aftermarket setup. Possibly magnaflow cats and mufflers. I like a little rumble driving around town. But my exhaust now is annoyingly loud on the highway.

Here's what I have in mind. Also, does anyone know which size to go with on the mufflers?

Nice exhaust, but I probably don't want to do the cat delete with annual emission tests. I might look into the other one you posted.

Any idea how it would sound on the highway?

I will go with the RSR cat back system.
You can email sessionusa (brian) for more info. He used to have a SC430.

Just cracks me up, my friends father is an engineer whose sole job is to make cars more quiet. It must have taken millions to design our cars to be this quiet, I remember reading a review of the new bently and they praised it as Lexus quiet. I have heard the note of a Ferrari passing me, and thought would I really want to hear that all the time. I much rather hear my ML. Wow 42 and I am so old.

I have 3" stainless steel exhaust on mine with an x-pipe leading to a dual-in dual-out magnaflow exhaust. Looks something like this flowmaster one. I can definitely hear the 'hum' while driving on the highway.

The ones you're looking at would work. Except I'd go with two high flow cats instead of it merging into one cat. Either way, anything after market will be a HUGE step up from the stock exhaust. The stock exhaust is extremely air restricted. With the new one I could feel a slight difference in power and my MPGs increased by 1. According to the Lexus I'm now at 21.5, instead of 20.5, yay lol. I also replaced stock intake with the Injen short ram.

I'm kind of on the fence what to do. My damaged stock exhaust is a little louder than I would want. And it causes the interior to rattle at higher RPMs. I wouldn't want an aftermarket exhaust to have the same issues. But at the same time, I don't want to spend even more money to replace it with stock. Ideally, I'd like something relatively quiet with better flow than stock.

I see, I'm not sure which exhaust setups are not loud. This Blitz exhaust doesn't seem too loud. I'm not sure what the pipes look like but I'm sure its more free flowing than the stock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7ZLT9_LhDM
