Why can't I see pictures????
Last week I could see all the lovely pictures attached by all of you, and by me!
Today, all I get is little boxes with red crosses in them.
Have I inadvertently fiddled with one of my browser settings or is there something wrong with the site??!!!
Thanks,
Martin

MJB ...
I had the same problem which started the second week of this month and lasted until just a few days ago. In my case, I think it was the combination of how this site works and my ZoneAlarm settings.
I turned off Ad Blocking in ZA and I was able to see pics again. But I think they made some changes here at about the same time because I'm sure I turned off Ad Blocking when the pics first disappeared but it had no effect.
If you use ZA, turn off Ad Blocking and restart your PC to see if it corrects the problem.

Thanks Nice,
Sounded like a very good call....
I do have ZoneAlarm, and I had got ad stopper enabled (though it wasn't a problem last week!).
So I disabled ad stopper and re-booted.
Double-checked that ad stopper was off.
Still got those little red 'x's.
Oh well, thank you for trying to help.
Maybe it'll just clear itself up in a day or two!

OK, fixed it.
It seems it was the Cookie setting on Zone Alarm. I remembered recently changing it from 'off' to 'medium', and that's what must have done it.
Would cookie control have that effect?
Thanks.

Well, MJB, it appears almost anything can have some sort of interference level with viewing pics in this forum.
I had had my ZA cookie control set to Off, so just now I set it to High and the pics in the gallery were no longer available as you indicated. You see a red X - I assume you're using IE. I'm using Netscape which simply ignores the fact that there are pics.
This is a technically picky site, anyway. I wanted to use Netscape 4.79 (I don't really need Netscape Version 6, because I use Outlook Express for mail and Agent for browsing newsgroups). Unfortunately, this site does not work with that version of Netscape.

You should see what happens in the gallery using a Mac and Mozilla as the browser. Hit refresh and you see the little thumb nails all show up and then one by one they sequentially disappear off the screen, about two per second. Poof. Poof. Poof. Load up the gallery page in a fresh window and it looks normal.
