I did buy my 2006 from a private party with 19,000 miles and assumed that the Bridgestone Turanza's were OE. I've seen them on other newer SC's.

Just an FYI, I always, always, always, air up my tires to the specs on the tire, not the door. Any less than max cold psi is just going to wear your tire out faster.

Absolutely not true. The max pressure is for increased loads. A properly inflated tire is best. On the door, not max. Unless you are carrying bricks all the time.

OK, installed the 4 245/40ZR -18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP RunFlats.

(My inside front L tire was chewed down to the steel belts; I believe it was the too much toe in alignment - saw it on a thread here but can't find it, where people set the alignment different from factory to prevent this).

Ride: spectacular silky ride; no more teeth jarring bumps. I actually like going over rough roads now. Amazing difference from the OEMs.

Now, their is one small con:
between 77 and 80 mph there is a minor hum on freeway, enough that I can guage my speed by it.
A small price to pay for great ride and I hear great wet road perfomance.

You may be referring to this post: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...t-in-spec.html or more specifically, camber issues.

Note: POST number 666 for me...this may be a bad sign...

Good thing the flux capacitor doesn't kick in till 88 miles an hour.

Top 5 movie of mine!

With OEM's I would agree but how does the door know what brand/make/style tire you put on? ....and many call for different pressure commensurate with the design of the tire. You can air down a little for a better ride but you will pay with increased tire wear depending on how much you air down. It also puts more stress on the sidewall. This comes from a friend who is in the tire manufacturing industry.

Got a set of Pirelli Pzero Nero's on my 2002. Pretty good tire and I guess the ride is fine... a whole lot better than the tires they replaced. The wierd thing is that the car sat for 2 weeks and the tires seemed to flat spot a bit. It took 2-3 miles for the ride to smooth out.

If I would have been in a cold climate I would not have been as surprised but this is Miami and 55 degrees is considered cold here.

I heard that Michelin is comming out with a 60,000 mile tire in the size for the SC430 but it will be sometime next year and even if that was true, the cords would have shown before they were available.
