Default Automatic volume level every time I turn on the car

Let's say I have the radio blasting on a Thursday night...then I wake up for work Friday morning, turn on the car, and the volume is at the same loud level from the night before . Is there a way to automatically set the volume at a specific level every time I start up the car? I know I could press the 'Set' button on the steering wheel after the car is on, but I wanted something automatic...Thanks

Does your car automatically go to that preset volume when you turn on your car? Mine doesn't do it automatically when I start the car, only when I press the button.

Redliner8 is right. It can be used as a mute, or as as normal level when you are jammin to the tunes and want to crank it down quickly. My advice is set it to normal volume and get into the habit of hitting that button before you turn off your car.

This is what I do as well.

It's amazing how your sense of "normal volume" gets skewed when you've been really jamming the tunes!

EDIT: 2,000th post! Whoo Hoo!!

Yea, there's nothing like having the radio blaring and scaring the crap out of you in the morning haha It definitely woke me up. I'll have to make it a habit of pressing the button before I shut off the car.

Funny I use the button for the opposite...i.e. when I put the top down, I press the set up where i have the volume cranked way up over the automatic increase in decibels.
