Purchased New SC430 (Black/Ecru) Saturday. Love the car and had a great weekend cruising around with spouse. This AM on way to work and first time in car later in the AM, I noticed extremely loud pops from speakers. Has Levinson audio and nav system. Has then been an issue for any others in the forum? Many thanks.

I've had my sc430 for about 1 1/2 months now and have not had any problems with the audio system except for the ocassional rattle now and then from the bass.

Unless they've gone dormant (I haven't looked) there have been several posts in this forum regarding faulty amplifiers.

I don't recall any of the posts discussing the "pops" you described, though. Most have spoken of the volume suddenly going full blast for no apparent reason (as mine has done on three separate occasions).

Lexus has issued a TSB for amplifier replacement.

SC430 has been diagnosed with a bad Levinson Amp. New one is being shipped from CA. Will hope that this solves the issue on my 2 day old vehicle. I am concerned that the loud pops and clicks did not damage any of the many speakers, tweeters, midrange components, etc.
