Sewell,

how about this one JTHFN45YX89017055, starts march 31 2008? Based on this history, i think dealer couldn't sell the car, upgrade and finally got it sold early 2008.

Could have been the showroom car or it might have just simply sat due to the economy, news of the new ISC coming out the following year, etc etc. Remember, the SC didn't sell very well the last few years at all!!! With those few miles at sale (83) I sincerely doubt it was a demo car. Sewell Dallas always had at least one showroom SC for years till last year, then there was one lonely SC parked right outside the front glass to make room for the new models inside (ISC, etc).

Do we still need a discount code for purchases in Sewell?

One last question concerning warranty...

If I buy a car from dealer with CPO warranty, can I buy an extension for this before it runs out from lexus?

Depends. Let's say you buy a 2008 CPO that still under factory warranty like the ones you are looking at above, but from a Lexus Dealer. You CAN while still under the factory warranty purchase an ESP through that same dealer they say only at the time of the sale of the car (I belive several have done this minus the CPO)...per the guidelines in the link above.

However, and a BIG however, there are certainly exceptions. If the car has a solid maint history, within/under mileage limits or very close, is a car from that particular dealer AND is not too far out of factory warranty, you CAN get the ESP still. I got one on my 2002 that was out of factory warranty by two months, but it had 25k miles in 2006!!!

Remember: A CPO warranty is non-transferrable. If you buy from an individual seller, the CPO is done.

If you buy a CPO car like I did where the factory warranty has expired (from a Lexus Dealer) you have options...I looked into it for my car. I was told on an exception basis that I could buy an ESP before my CPO expires. I will certainly consider...in two years.

Hope this answers your question. If not, please PM me
