Yay or Nay?

Lexus is planning to replace the dearly-departed SC 430 with a brand new coupe based on the next-generation LS.

Called the LC 600h, this flagship coupe will be AWD and powered by an updated version of the same 5.0L V8 Lexus Hybrid Drive found in the current LS 600hL, and is expected to hit a 0-60 of under five seconds.

 

first time I've seen this rendering.. LFA is250 & 370 like

 

I don't like the side vents.

 

No drop top, no money drop for me!!!

For all those quick to purchase this model, it makes you wonder if they'd offer a convertible as an option within a year or two doesn't it?

Love the looks of it but if her top does not come off sorry would not buy it. Ahhh that does not sound right but you know what I mean.

 

I've had an SC hardtop and droptop and I love my harddroptop. Period.

 

If it wont drop the top I wont drop the cash. Keep my 2005 pebble beach

 

I loved my 94 and 95 SC300 and SC400 don't get me wrong...but they were much easy to let go than the (first) 430. I actually was in pain after I sold my first SC430. I couldn't sleep. I missed her like the dessert misses the rain. Wait! Isn't that a song??

Make the new SC a hard top convertible with a panoramic roof. ***OR, better yet, what about a panoramic targa roof? Easy, lightweight panel with shade that pops out like a Supra or Del Sol or Vette and stores in the trunk easily.

She looks sexy; let's wait until we see her on the showroom floor. I bet that she will look a lot different.

And just to be in the minority: I prefer a hardtop that does not drop.

Oh, did I say that it rains a lot here.

PS) Hmmm, 2015 eh; I'll be 75 then & just maybe they won't sell one of those to me.

 

Reminds me of my neighbors BMW 645, and that is available topless

 

It's a mistake.. without the drop top.. it has much less appeal to me.
