Definitely, get the 06. Better looking front and bask besides 6-speed trans and refine suspension.

I'm looking to purchase a SC430. I'm looking at a 2003 (Black/Saddle) with 95,000 miles and 2006 (Gray/Cream like interior) with 133,000 miles. Both have service records up to date, timing belt/water pump changed and no accidents. The 2006 is $2500 more in price.

Is it better to go with the 2006 even though it has higher mileage?

Thanks for any input.
The car dealer raised the price of the 2006 SC430 but said he would honor the price he quoted me, however I believe I can get the seller, who lives in the neighborhood across the street from me, of the 2003 Black SC430 to sell me his car between $10 - 11k. This definitely widens the price gap between the two cars.

If I can get the 2003 SC430 for $11k with 94500 miles, would that be a solid deal? (the timing belt, water pump, radiator, engine mounts have were all changed earlier this year at the Lexus dealership). The one thing I can see broken is the antenna.

Sounds like your neighbor’s car would be a great deal. I’ve noticed many SC430 have had their antennas replaced. His car would list for several thousand dollars more here in California. With the care it has had, I’d be driving it to the DMV today. Good luck!

Thanks for your response. I just messaged him with an offer of $10,500, so I will wait to see what he says.

I recommend keep on looking. I looked for a whole year prior to jumping on a 2007 SC430 Pebble Beach. Deals are out there.

Thanks streams! Still looking. I made an offer on a SC found on CarGurus, but the dealer (a VW dealer 89 miles away) would not accept money place in escrow! Sounded suspect. So I am still looking. Also found a 2002 with 22k miles at bringatrailer.com but it is missing a lot of service and I believe many uniformed bidders will drive the price up.

Post Help me buy the right SC430

Hello everyone! I've been reading a lot of stuff here to help with my purchase and it's been extremely helpful. I'm in the process of buying a beautiful 2007 SC 430 black exterior, tan interior. I'm in Canada so it's got 170,000k kms (105k miles), it's well maintained, and if the seller is willing to negotiate, I can possibly get it for 16k or around 18k taxes included (CAD) or approx 14k USD all in. Considering that it's been well maintained and there are no issues with the car, am I getting a good deal all things considered? Can't wait to be a part of the community.

It’s a good deal since the used car value has been increased due to the shortage especially for the SC. Check if the TB and WP have been replaced, if not, you can use that as a bargaining chip. Good luck.

New guy here still in the shopping stage, just a FYI... quite a few of the links in the original post are no longer any good, lots of good info up there though.
Question, yes I've searched, trying to find a vin decoder so I can find out what's really on some of these cars.
Thanks

Seems good to me, lots of these cars have run flats so no spare to begin with.
