When I set the volume level for the radio and then switch to listen to a cd, there is a significant difference in the sound level.

Could there be a problem with the amplifier?

Has anyone experienced this problem?

i have a gs, but with the same prob...need to turn up the vol when i hear radio/news..and turn down on cds...it is not the amp problem..annoys me though..:eek:

Different CDs have different levels (which annoys me).
Try different CDs and see if you have the same issue.
Example: the 1st and latest Eminem CDs.
Same artist & label -- different levels.

Mine does the same thing. I believe it is normal it might be due to the fact that the radio signal is not as strong as your CD signal. My lx450 did the same thing.

My Lexus, Mercedes, and Audi all do the same thing. It's normal. It's annoying... maybe someday someone will build a stereo unit that can keep different volume levels per source.
