Default SC430 vs 650i

Just saw a picture of the latest 650i; can't help making a photo comparison:

not too bad for a 10 year old design/car.

Very similar design! Is the new 650i still a soft top with a 3 inch back window? lol

Really?
The only design element those 2 cars share is they are both convertibles.
There's not a surface nor a line that those cars share.

Lexus design are always neutral and long lasting.....never think Lexus look aggressive but also never feeling their design are outdated. That 650i look so wired

Please exit this thread since you want to insult SC owners in a SC forum.

No way that 650 looks as good as the SC. The current 650 is another story though.
Stock againt stock, I'd go with the current 6. Nice wheels and dropped, the SC looks waaaaayyyyy better.

The new 6 is not ugly but not as nice as the current car imo.
I agree with the other guy who saif Lexus designs are timeless. I would say that about most BMW's as well though.

I'm not a "bmw fanboy" or whatever it is that you're thinking. I actually like lexus and I'm planning on purchasing an es/gs 300 soon, which is the reason I joined this clublexus. He stated his opinion, and I stated mine. I don't see anything wrong with that.

does PHXSC fit this "bmw stereotype" as well? because he seems to think the same thing as me, but doesn't drive a bmw..

I'm not insulting him. The sc430 is a decent car, I just don't see how it compares to the 650i as he stated.

Let me try to explain it to you.

The SC is more stylish.
The SC has a better looking interior and it's better quality of materials.
The SC has way better reliability.
The SC has a unique design that some don't like but it is timeless.

The 650 excels over the SC only in the power choices and interior space.

4 out of 5 of those are personal opinion, no?

I've been a part of this forum for several years. I own a SC430 and ES350. So I'm a true Lexus enthusiast. In no way did this guy insult anyone. He has an opinion, and he stated it. I love the SC430, but the BMW is superior in many ways; technology, power, driving ability, etc... This doesn't make it a better car, just a different one. Can't somebody have a differing opinion around here? I'm surprised by the attitude toward him. The SC430 is a wonderful car. But comparing it with a brand new BMW that is in a different class is a fantasy. Let's allow a different opinion on the forum. It will keep us active.
