It draws attention to the tail lights, especially in the first pic. Regardless of whether or not you like the look, the car's tail gets lost to the eye IMO. I prefer the more subtle look of just redded out myself, but as others have said it's what you like that matters.

Thank you all for your comments/opinions, good and bad. I like them and think i'll keep them, at least until I can buy the 06+ tails! Haha

Is it on the inside or the outside? I can see where it may look kinda tacky if its on the outside.

I was considering getting red tint spray, instead of the film to cover the orange, your experience?

Suggestion/question: Could you wrap and conform the LED strip into a circle inside the actual bulb housing? Kind of like a halo effect for the brakes.

The LED strip is tucked away on the inside because I wanted a clean look. It is hardly noticeable unless you are trying to look for it.

I have red tint overlays on my taillights and have been great for the past two years. There has been no fading and my lights look MUCH better that the ugly amber. I wanted to do something similar to your 'halo effect idea' but you would have to take the tail light housing apart and modify it that way, which is much farther experience than I have. Haha. Thanks for your comments all!

Additionally, the LEDs only illuminate at night because I attached them to the parking lights. During the day, the LEDs are off and onlyhe regular brake lights are engaged.
