According to the Customer Service Folks, the new model will begin appearing in dealer showrooms on Monday. There are no changes outside or in to the new model. There is one new option that will be available and that is the Lexus Link (OnStar) service. I have been told that this will have to come as a special order as the regions have decided not to order the general SC430s with the option because of the extra antenna. I have heard nothing on new pricing yet.

I saw a truck load of 2003 sc's in New York on their way to a dealer.
They were obviously the new model because the wheels were completely new, spoked, much improved.

My dealer showed me the memo on upcoming changes...nothing on the SC except higher price (MSRP increased by $970) and another manufacturer (not named) for run-flats!

perhaps they changed the manufacturers for the run flats cuz i've heard that the run flats are a bit more rougher on the ride than the standard tires. Is this true at all?

Yep, run flats always give a harder (or "more rougher" as Pete descrbes it) ride than the same size conventonal tire because the sidewalls are stiffer, which is one of the things that allows it to run flat.
Nothing can be done about this due to physics.

Hey everyone...
Lexus has updated their website, and included the 2003 SC430. No word on the wheels though, but the pics have the same wheels as in 2002. The only reference to wheels is listed as a dealer installed accessory...Wheel conversion kit.

If indeed the increase is less than $1000.00, it is very modest. It also annoys me (not that I wanted the price to skyrocket), but I just got a 2002 based on the discount I got and a "2-3 percent increase on the new cars". I would have waited the 30 days for a 2003. I woudl expect given the availability of the cars now that my car has dropped at least 10-15%, and that I saved (with the increase) 5%. Oh well. I love the car, but... I wish it did not have the annoying noises that come and go. Somedays they are there others they are not. Seems to depend on the weather, and also if the top has time to "settle in" after I close it.

I could be wrong but in pricing the new 03 SC430s on the Lexus Web Site (Build your Own), it looks like they have also made the Navigation System a $2,000 option so that the actual price increase is higher than the $970 mentioned earlier. Someone please check me on this. Also looks like a wheel conversion kit and a SC430 phone will be options later in this model year.
