Idk if this is matters to some, but the new 2011 Lexus models have just the model name (IS, LS, GS) and the Lexus "L" but the "Lexus" name emblem is no longer on the new models.

Well the debadge is done. Little polishing and waxing, all new.

Use hair blower to soften the glue, then dental floss (use gloves).

Scrape the glue using the thumb nail. Goo gone to get the last glue. Polish (I used polishing compound + Zymol wax) and done. Enjoy the L.

I sprayed mine with Plastidip rather than remove them. I think it looks good on a dark car, but I know a lot of you guys think it is a cop out as the black pearl emblems are available.

It is quick, easy and reversible when you want chrome back again.

Best regards

Steve

Looks great Mandy, I do love white SC's.

Seriously considering getting my car wrapped in pearl white. My son-in-law has just had his BM convertible wrapped in satin black and it looks awesome.

Best regards

Steve

Only through the 2005s, I think.
The newer grills have the logo molded into the grill.
I like the look my 2002 has without the front L.

Hi Steve,

Thanks. It took me awhile to decide to debadge. Was almost going to plastidrip and then to debadge. But woke up this morning with the urge to debadge.

Might get a Black Pearl emblem. Or even plastidrip.

Either way, I am happy.

And for the front, I remove the emblem once in a while. I already painted the screw bar blask to be less noticeable. But the wife was looking for it the last time I debadged the front. So it has been back for a while.

Thanks.

Mandy

Mandyfig and anyone else who is interested in the black pearl look. There is a whole (10 pages of stuff) thread on black pearl emblem paintng, in the detailing section of the forum I didn't know it when I did my license plate frame and wheel SCs. I used the same paint from a hobby shop. Mine has lasted since 07/08 and still looks good. Check it out. Cheaper than the real thing.

SteadyEddy, I was thinking of painting first and see what it looks like. Then if I did not like it, replace it with the BP.

I'm a fan of the black pearl look. It looks clean with less emblems too.
