I'm pretty sure the SC has 3 cats, can someone reaffirm. 2 up front and 1 in the middle (which was removed in that pictured). I don't think you'll have any smog problems since the 2 cats up front are still there.
IMO, if you're going to only remove the middle cat, you might as well use 2 pipes, 1 leading into each resonator. (instead of 1 pipe like that picture)

Thanks a lot. We can keep the resonator in case we want to put it back, right? Matter of welding it back on.

my gs has deleted resonators and magnaflow mufflers it sounds very nice...dont have a clip sorry but these cars are the same so the sc will sound the same. Just do the search on Youtube of gs400 or 430 exhaust sounds and youll find what you looking for. Also the GS has a resonator instead of the cat in the center i left that alone, you can take the center cat out and no smog issues since theres no o2 after the last cat so the computer cant tell.

I'm thinking about doing this. I have to call around and get a good price. So far I went to one muffler shop and they want $90. I wouldn't mind paying that, but would definitely welcome paying cheaper. Compared to other people paying around $50-$60, it seems like $90 is high. (This price is in Jacksonville, Florida)

Thanks for the video Wesssup! I took the plunge and did this resonator delete this morning. Couldn't be happier with the results! (Although the price could've been better, $100) I will post up a video when I can. I love this forum.

Had it done
Thanks. Had this done to my SC02 today.
Adds a nice, moderately low toned thrum to the exhaust note that peaks at about 1,700 RPM. Nice, low purr at startup about twice the original loudness from outside the cabin. At high revs, you get a more aggressive throat but certainly not stentorian. No, this does not make your SC430's V8 burble like sports car V8. You simply are simply put on notice that there is a serious engine, albeit gentlemanly.
There is slightly more interior engine noise at 1,700 RPM, but I find it pleasant and it is perhaps 1/3 the noise of just the tires rolling on the road. Best described as a engine pitched hum with overtones. Let's you know when you are starting to engage the engine. I rather like it.
Turn on some music and you won't notice the engine sound in the cabin.
Overall a for the mod. No more being completely a silent sleeper.

Have to check out a few muffler shops here.
But have to listen to VIPnISS' car first if I really like it. And probably ask the wifey 1st, she might get pissed at the louder noise, after all it is her car. Happy wifey is a happy lifey.
