Drove the sc to cali for a funeral last weekend. We traveled almost 1200 miles and achieved 25.7mpg at 75-80 for most of the trip.In Cal we ran across alot of brick paved streets and crappy freeways. The SC started squeaking and creaking from all this abuse and continued until returning to Or.I jumped on the internet and came across an old post by the previous owner of my car, about squeaky!
I took the car to a friends shop and took off the front shroud to get at the sway bar (Daizen) and its bushings.I greased the inside of the bushings and remounted the bar, setting the links equally on both sides(links hold up sway bar while greasing).I put it all back together and did the rear sway also, making sure links were spaced evenly while tightening the swaybar back on.
The car is as quiet as new and it handles different, the last person who lubed the rear sway did not balance the sway between the links and this caused the car to dip to the left rear, more than the right, when going over road imperfections,it always felt odd.Drives better than ever and all for 50 cents of sway bar grease.

I've just installed some EZ's and Daizen Sway Bar bushings, I can't wait to take my "new" SC for a test drive! Once all the snow is gone... 2, 3 more weeks ...
Can't wait to see how is the handling... !

Keep a keen eye on the rear bar and its bolts to the end links. You'll see a few posts where the rear has snapped at the bolts or brackets. Hope it lasts longer than mine did!
Yup, the bushing greasing is a bi-annual event. Fortunately (?) my front shroud has been gone for a few years (no idea where), so re-greasing is easy. I've been using white lithium spray grease, and it has worked well.
